After High School

Hello lovelies, as some of you may know i am 15 and starting high school this coming September. With that being such a big step in my life, it comes with something else which is thinking about what i am going to do after my last 3 years of grade school. If you know me you would know i like to plan ahead, that means while all the other kids my age have been living their lives and not worrying about college i have been thinking about and looking at colleges for the past 3 years since i have started junior high in grade 7. Now i know what some of you might be thinking " why have you been thinking about colleges since you were the age of 13?"  the answer to your question is i like to know what i am going to do with my life, I'm the kind of person that thinks a head and when the time comes i want to be dead set on what college i want to go to. Well it turns out i really like to be prepared on what i want to do after high school, because while i still have 3 years left of grade school,  i already know where i want to go to college and that is the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising also know as FIDM. FIDM has 4 different locations in California aka "the golden state" , and is the top fashion school in the U.S. As you can tell form this blog being about beauty and fashion, that they are my passion which is why i feel like FIDM is the perfect school for me. I really want to major in beauty industry merchandising & marketing, it is the perfect major for me. With this major i would learn how to 

• Create beauty products and packaging.
• Utilize state-of-the-industry software programs to create functional and artistic packaging and product placement.
• Market ideas effectively

and many more. I think a part of me has always wanted to do something in the beauty industry, ever since i was a little girl i have loved playing with makeup and dressing up, but these past 3 years it has really become a big part in my life where i will sit down at my makeup table at 12:00 in the night and do my makeup for fun, or i would sit at my desk on my computer looking through online websites and put outfits together. It is something that i love and can picture myself doing for a living, in reality this blog is the first step to my future in the beauty industry it only goes on from here and the next step is going to college at FIDM. Moving to L.A will be a big step if i do get in but i am ready for it, I have to make the world mine and going to this amazing school will help me do that. It can only go up from here.

FOTD: Face Of The Day

Hello lovelies! I was getting ready today and i was thinking about what i was going to post today, then i thought why not do a face of the day. FOTD post's are some of my favourite things to read. I love seeing every one's different products, it opens me up to new things which is probably not good for my wallet but hey a girl's gotta do what a girls gotta do right!. Anyways my day started pretty late due to the fact that i was up all night watching movies on Netflix ( surprise surprise). alright lets get into it!

The first thing i did was my concealer. I am actually not using foundation right now, because i recently picked up the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse foundation and it is making my skin freak out. it is causing crazy breakouts, and i haven't gotten the chance to go out a pick up a new foundation, so for now i am just using concealer. If you read my last post you would know that the concealer i am using and swear by is the Hard Candy Glamoflage concealer. All i did was apply it under my eyes, and on my problem areas.

The next thing i did was powder my face with the CoverGirl Clean oil control pressed powder in classic ivory. I know some people powder all over their face, i used to do it as well but i recently learned that you are actually only supposed the powder through your T-Zone which is the center of your face. basically anywhere you get oily. So that's what i did

After that i went onto my eyebrows. Now to me doing my eyebrows is really important, they frame your face and really pull your look together. But today i wasn't going anywhere so i didn't do my full eyebrow routine i just filled it in with an eyebrow pencil from CoverGirl.

Then i moved onto my eyes. I am obsessed with my Urban Decay naked basics palette it has become a staple makeup item. I use it all the time. Today i didn't want anything crazy glam just something simple and pretty. So i took naked 2 the light brown shade and swept it all over my lid and through the crease. On days when I'm not doing anything extravagant i will do just one colour on the lid and through the crease it's just so simple, quick and easy.

After i put naked 2 on my lid and in my crease i took the highlight shade and put it in the inner corner of my eye and on my brow bone to make me look more awake. This is a very important step in my opinion, because you don't want to look tired you will want to look alive and awake. Plus doing this step will help open up your eyes. 

After that i applied mascara to my upper and lower eyelashes. lately i have been loving the L'Oreal lashout butterfly mascara, it really helps open up your eyes and makes your lashes look super long, and i love when my lashes are super long so this mascara is great for anyone who wants their lashes to appear longer.

Last but not least was the lipstick. Now i know it is summer and this lipstick is really dark but I'm the kind of person that puts myself out there and if i want to rock a dark lip in the summer then I'm gonna do it, and that is exactly what i did. This is one of my all time favourite lipsticks it is the Rimmle Kate Moss in 107, it is a dark red colour perfect for the fall, but for me perfect all year round. I feel like this lipstick give a timeless classic look to any makeup look and i love it.

Review: Hard Candy Glamoflage heavy duty concealer

Hello lovelies!! Today i decided to do a review on one of my all time favourite products. The Hard Candy Glomoflage concealer. I purchased this concealer in the beginning of June for my grade nine graduation. It was a important event for me and i really wanted flawless skin that would look great in photos, so i did some research and i found that a lot of people recommend this concealer for a full coverage flawless look. Of course i went out and bought it. 

Lets start with the packaging. The packaging for this product as you can see is a tube. It's a fairly good sized tube of concealer you get about 20 g of product in one tube and it is good for 24 months. In my opinion i love that fact at it is a tube , because i just don't like when my concealer is in a pot. I also think the design is great as well, its not over the top yet because its so simple it makes it easy to remember. over all i think the packaging of this product is great

The next thing i want to talk about it the consistency and the application. The consistency of this concealer is very creamy yet its not too thick, which in my opinion is amazing because i am not too pleased when my concealer is very thick. It just makes it so hard to blend out and nobody wants to be sitting there for five minutes blending out their concealer. This is the perfect consistency for a concealer. The application is absolutely beautiful, it glides on and it's so smooth.you really only need the smallest amount. A lot goes a long way with this, so it will last you a long time. The last thing i want to tell you about is the way it appears on the skin, from personal experience if you use a lot of this product it will defiantly get cakey on the skin which is why i suggest you only use the smallest amount. If you do use a small amount it will look so natural and lovely on your skin. It gives you a flawless coverage and i just love it. I highly recommend this product, if you where thinking about getting it please do, it will become one of your staples in your makeup.

Outfit Of The Day

Hello guys! Taylor here, today I had a very busy day so I thought I would do an ootd or outfit of the day. Today I had my cousins birthday party and I went for a dressy casual look you could say. I didn't want to be to fancy but I wanted to look cute, so I decided on this dress from winners, it has a cute tribal print with pink, purple, blue, and white. The back of this dress is my favourite, it is a very open and low back with a srting across the back, it reminds me of the jada dress from Brandy Melville, but it is way cheaper. My cardigan is fram Garage and I wear this thing with everything!! I absaloutly love it, it is such a staple piece in my wardrobe and I feel like everyone needs one of these. It is very slouchy very comfortable and it can dress up and dress down any outfit. Now because the dress did have a. Dry low back I wore a hot pink bralette that is all lace from Victoria's Secret that it's so cute and it looks amazing with sheer tops or tops with open backs it is one of my favourite clothing items I own ! I love this outfit I honestly wear it all the time, I actually wore it in the last day of school this year. It makes you look like you put a lot of time and effort into your outfit but it is so effortless, cute, and one of the most important things for me is it is so comfortable! That's something all my outfits have to be comfortable and that is exactly what this outfit is and I love it !. There you go guys! My Favourite Store !

Hello guys! Today I decided to do a post about my favourite store which is forever 21! I know I know that's a typical teenage girl store, but it really does cater to everyone's likes. For example I don't really have a spacific style one day I could be edgy wear black on black and studs but the next day I could be totally different wear a skirt and a cute top. Forever 21 had all that and more. Now we don't have a Forever 21 where I live so I usually shop there online or when I go on vacation, however it still classifies as my favourite store or one of my favourite stores I should say because I do have other ones . Something I really like about Forever 21 is their prices all the clothes are very reasonably priced and not outrageously expensive which is good cause being a fifteen year old girl I can't afford to go out and buy Michael Kors or Givenchy they are just not in my price range but Forever 21 is and that is great!! The other thing I like about the store is that it doesn't carry just one style of clothing, it carries many different styles, such as girly, edgy, and many other styles that's great too because not every girl has the same style. A Day In My Life !!

Hello guys!! So today me and my friends decided to venture downtown in our hometown, it was a fun filled day with some adventure. I thought it would be fun to do kind of like a follow me around post starting from the time I left my house to the time I got home so here we go!

The first thing we did was meet up at the bus stop just down from my house at around 12 o'clock to get the bus to our local mall then to downtown . So like the blogger I am I had to document our bus ride with a picture to let all you readers see! There I am with my aviator sunglasses ( which I got at blue notes on sale for 2.00$!!) and my blue hair on the bus beginning our adventure!

When we got downtown we headed right for smokes for some lunch . For those of you who don't know what this restaurant is, it is a Canadian franchisee that specializes in a very popular Canadian dish called poutine, which is Fries with grave and chees curds. As you can see I have a little extra added to mine it has pulled pork and bacon on it aswell. We all headed into the restaurant, ordered our food and had our lunch, delicious!! ( if you ever get the chance to try poutine I highly recommend you do! ) 

After our lunch we decided to do a little window shopping. As the teenage girls we are we just had to head into the candy store to get some yummy gummies! The freak lunchbox is the best place for all your candy needs, unfourtunatly I did not get a picture if the inside but trust me you name a candy and they will have it. We also went to an antique shop, a record shop, and some cool clothing stores as well.

Now in my hometown it is a mandatory thing that you take a trip to the roof top of one of the buildings, and that is exactly what we did. It is a bit of a climb but the view is worth it. You can see all of downtown from up there. It really is a beautiful thing to look at, all the old buildings ( also a great place for people watching ) While we were up there we sat, chated, and of course ate some candy!!

Last but not least is a little outfit of the day !! I didn't want to dress up since we would only be walking around and I wanted to be comfortable while I was out. I went for a casual look with a tank top from winners, some maroon leggings from garage, sandals from icing, and my favorite bag and sunglasses from blue notes ! I also kept my make up simple with just mascara ( l'oreal  lash out butterfly mascara ). Today was a fun filled day with my favourite people we had a great time and I wouldn't want to spend it with anyone else. I apologize for the fact that this is not a very text filled post  but I really just wanted you guys to see the photos I took! I hope you guys enjoyed this post !
