FOTD: Face Of The Day

Hello lovelies! I was getting ready today and i was thinking about what i was going to post today, then i thought why not do a face of the day. FOTD post's are some of my favourite things to read. I love seeing every one's different products, it opens me up to new things which is probably not good for my wallet but hey a girl's gotta do what a girls gotta do right!. Anyways my day started pretty late due to the fact that i was up all night watching movies on Netflix ( surprise surprise). alright lets get into it!

The first thing i did was my concealer. I am actually not using foundation right now, because i recently picked up the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse foundation and it is making my skin freak out. it is causing crazy breakouts, and i haven't gotten the chance to go out a pick up a new foundation, so for now i am just using concealer. If you read my last post you would know that the concealer i am using and swear by is the Hard Candy Glamoflage concealer. All i did was apply it under my eyes, and on my problem areas.

The next thing i did was powder my face with the CoverGirl Clean oil control pressed powder in classic ivory. I know some people powder all over their face, i used to do it as well but i recently learned that you are actually only supposed the powder through your T-Zone which is the center of your face. basically anywhere you get oily. So that's what i did

After that i went onto my eyebrows. Now to me doing my eyebrows is really important, they frame your face and really pull your look together. But today i wasn't going anywhere so i didn't do my full eyebrow routine i just filled it in with an eyebrow pencil from CoverGirl.

Then i moved onto my eyes. I am obsessed with my Urban Decay naked basics palette it has become a staple makeup item. I use it all the time. Today i didn't want anything crazy glam just something simple and pretty. So i took naked 2 the light brown shade and swept it all over my lid and through the crease. On days when I'm not doing anything extravagant i will do just one colour on the lid and through the crease it's just so simple, quick and easy.

After i put naked 2 on my lid and in my crease i took the highlight shade and put it in the inner corner of my eye and on my brow bone to make me look more awake. This is a very important step in my opinion, because you don't want to look tired you will want to look alive and awake. Plus doing this step will help open up your eyes. 

After that i applied mascara to my upper and lower eyelashes. lately i have been loving the L'Oreal lashout butterfly mascara, it really helps open up your eyes and makes your lashes look super long, and i love when my lashes are super long so this mascara is great for anyone who wants their lashes to appear longer.

Last but not least was the lipstick. Now i know it is summer and this lipstick is really dark but I'm the kind of person that puts myself out there and if i want to rock a dark lip in the summer then I'm gonna do it, and that is exactly what i did. This is one of my all time favourite lipsticks it is the Rimmle Kate Moss in 107, it is a dark red colour perfect for the fall, but for me perfect all year round. I feel like this lipstick give a timeless classic look to any makeup look and i love it.
